WoundZoom, Inc., a Wisconsin-based medical device company, has entered in an exclusive agreement with Imago Care, Ltd., a UK-based advanced wound care strategic marketing and technology consultancy.
WoundZoom, Inc. manufactures the Wound Zoom®: a wound measurement camera that allows users to accurately and easily complete wound documentation in a minute. Imago Care, Ltd.’s flagship product, Elixr®, is a professional collaboration software service that communicates clinical excellence through efficient collection of electronic patient and wound assessment information including images, measurements and clinical notes, through mobile and web platforms.
Wound Zoom has obtained exclusive rights for the Elixr® product in North America and Imago Care will be the exclusive representative of Wound Zoom® in Europe. Together these two brands hope to improve patient outcomes with data driven care, obtained from the technological innovations of Wound Zoom® and Elixr®.
“We are extremely excited to have Wound Zoom, Inc, as our strategic partner. Chronic wounds present a significant financial and resource burden to healthcare systems, globally. Capturing objective wound data at the point of care and effectively communicating it across interdisciplinary teams is a critical step to ensure patients receive the right treatment at the right time. The agreement will provide healthcare professionals with the tools and data required to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiencies through a truly global wound management solution.” commented Christopher Kennedy, CEO of Imago Care, Ltd.
“Expanding both our capabilities and our reach through this agreement is an important step for both organizations. The ability to interact with clinicians globally will provide us with invaluable feedback that will drive product development and position us for a leadership role in wound care information technology.” Thomas J. Whelan, President of WoundZoom, Inc.
The two products will be available for viewing at the 25th Conference of the European Wound Management Association (EWMA) to be held from 13-15 May, 2015 at the ExCel Convention Centre in London, UK. More than ever technology is shaping and improving our lives, WoundZoom and Elixr® hope to make these benefits of technology more prevalent in the wound care market.
Together WoundZoom and Imago Care are partnering to address a global problem with a global approach.
